Select Platform

This page is applicable to NetConnect X 1.5 and above

NetConnect can be installed on a variety of platforms. Select the platform you wish to install onto from the below:

VMWare

Hyper-V

Azure

AWS

VMWare

  1. Ensure your virtual environment has sufficient available resources to meet the recommended minimum specs as outlined in the Overview page.
  2. Open the VMware Host environment and select File > Deploy OVF Template
  3. Browse to and select the downloaded OVA file
  4. Review the details and select next
  5. Name the VM as required
  6. Confirm that you have a minimum of 40GB free and ensure the Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed option is selected before continuing
  7. Ensure that you change the Destination Network matches that of your Virtual NIC card.
  8. Finally confirm that all the VM settings are correct and select Power on after deployment is selected
  9. Now the settings have been confirmed, the VM will begin to deploy. This process can take around 5-10 minutes
  10. Now that the VM has been deployed, access the console and login using the credentials that are provided

Hyper-V

  1. Ensure your virtual environment has sufficient available resources to meet the recommended minimum specs as outlined in the Overview page.
  2. Open the HyperV Manager and navigate Name of server > New > New Virtual Machine
  3. Name the Virtual Machine and select the storage location
  4. Ensure that Generation 1 is selected before continuing
  5. Select the required memory that will be allocated to the machine. For a standard deployment of NetConnect, 2GB or 2048MB is recommended.
  6. Select the required Network card. Please note this is required to ensure that access to the Network configuration can be achieved.
  7. Ensure the Use an existing virtual hard disk is selected. Once this has been confirmed, browse and select the NetConnect VHD that was downloaded from the Partner Portal.
  8. Confirm that the settings are correct and if so, complete the deployment by selecting Finish
  9. Now that the VM has been deployed, access the console and login using the credentials that are provided
